Hallmark Coupon

Time to pay attention, chiclettes ---- I know that you (and I) want adorable, fancy gift wrap for Christmas packages.  But I also know that neither of us wants to actually pay for it.  So --- assuming that you didn't haul home a gigantic stash of chic gift wrap from the day after Christmas sale last year (yeah, I don't go near the stores that day either) -- here's how to get it

Look inside the following magazines for a coupon for $5 off your purchase of $5 or more at Hallmark Stores:
Dec. Real Simple (between pages 74-74)
Dec. Family Circle (page 61)
Dec. Martha Stewart Living (page 93)
Dec. Redbook (pages 53-54)
Dec. Oprah Magazine (Page 111)
so -- you take the coupon to the Hallmark store -- and buy just barely over $5.00 of gorgeous gift wrap etc.  You use the $5/5 coupon and you pay the tiny bit of difference.  DONE --- (see why you want as many of these as you can put your hands on??)

$20 Thanksgiving Dinner at Walmart

Most of you know that I am so NOT a Walmart fan.  I don’t often shop there and I don’t recommend deals there (for a lot of reasons – none of which are the point of this post)
Most of you also know that I have very strong feelings about being charitable.  Especially for those of us who are blessed with being able to obtain food and household products for our families with little money out of pocket.  We are blessed, you know.  And I hold that with each blessing comes an obligation --- to bless someone else.
So as we approach Thanksgiving and thinking about giving – why on earth does my mind wander over to Walmart??  Well, this time, Walmart is doing something good.  Something really good.  Something that will make it easier for those who chose to give not only thanks but to give someone else something to be thankful for too.
Starting November 4th, Walmart is offering the opportunity to purchase complete Thanksgiving meal for right at $20.

This is a list of common ingredients for a real old-fashioned Thanksgiving dinner – the kind your grandma used to make. If this is something your family needs this season --- rush right over to Walmart and give thanks --- If (like mine) your family is pretty well set for Thanksgiving but would love to make it better for someone else – then rush right over to Walmart and give thanks too.

Here’s the deal  $20 for all of this:
One 12-pound Grade A turkey*
Three 11 to 15.5-ounce cans Green Giant vegetables
Two 14-ounce cans Ocean Spray cranberry sauce
Three 6-ounce boxes of Stove Top stuffing
One 5-pound bag of red potatoes
One 12-count package of Sara Lee dinner rolls
One 22-ounce pumpkin roll cake
*Turkeys are being offered at 40 cents/pound so if you go up or down on the turkey, the final price will go up or down as well.

See you at Walmart?? (I can’t believe I said that!)

This will surely bless alot of people and give them a lot to be thankful for.

Free Hallmark Card for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming up (in case you hadn't noticed) You can create a FREE customized paper card from Hallmark. This is a $3.49 value!

All you need to do is head over to Hallmark, pick out a card that is priced at $3.49 and personalize it. (Watch the price --- this won't work if you pick a card that isn't $3.49, silly) The personalizing is actually kind of fun -- you can play with all kinds of things.

Enter promotional code CARD4MOM when you check out. Your final cost, with shipping and handling, will be $0.

Now, if you're like me, you have a mother and a mother-in-law, both of whom would love cards for Mother's Day and both of whom have a deep appreciation for my skills at hunting down free stuff. So --- there is a second code that will get you a second card --- Wow.
Go to Hallmark and get another free card by using code APRILCARD.

And the best part of all ---- it doesn't have to be a Mother's Day card --- if you need or want to do some other kind of card, they work too.... Have fun. And remember to say "thank you Hallmark" (that was my mom channelling through me!)

Filling and Easter Basket??

Anyone filling Easter baskets knows that cute filler items are like gold. They make the basket look like far more than it really is, and when they're super cheap, you don't mind when they end up broken and discarded by Wednesday (and let's be honest -- they all do). Well, Walgreens has decided to help!!
They've put out some printable coupons for some great last minute fillers that won't break the bank.
Offers are valid now through Saturday, April 11th.
Coupons include:
$.79 Easter Baskets (Limit 3)
$.39 Russel Stover Easter Candy 5 to 1.2oz (Limit 6)
$.39 Life Savers Jelly Beans or Maxim Bubble Gum (Limit 6)
$.39 Easter Faire Filled Egg 1.38oz (Limit 6)
$1.99 Crayola Crayons with Built0in Sharpener 64pk (Limit 10)
$.39 Wonka or Nestle Easter Candy .92 to 1.75oz
Can't beat that....

Easter is right around the corner -- that means Easter egg hunts and Easter baskets and all sorts of other excuses for candy. So, who can pass up a great deal on chocolate?!?

CVS has an ECB deal going this week that I almost missed. At first blush, it didn't look like such a terrific deal, but now that I'm looking at it again --- its looking better. Here's how I plan to work it out:

Buy: 3 bags Hershey's Kisses $1.88 each
1 bag Hershey's Bliss $3.50
3 Hershey's Mini Eggs $2.00 each
Merchandise Total: $15.14

Coupons to Use:
2 Hershey's $1.50 off any 3 bags coupon (HERE)
1 Hershey's Bliss $1 off coupon (HERE)

That's a total of $6.14 for 7 bags of Hershey's chocolates... 88 cents a bag!

If you have a $3 off $15 CVS coupon and $5 ECBs, you can make this even sweeter -- and only pay $3.14 OOP and still get $5 ECB back --- making money on chocolate.... a truly "sweet" deal!
