KMart: Week of 8/22

I’m not usually a huge Kmart shopper, but this is a terrific deal. 

Spend $20 on certain products and get a $5.00 CAT

The product that makes this a deal is Purex 3-1 detergent sheets.  These are sheets that you throw into your washer with the dirty laundry and then just keep moving them along into the dryer with the laundry.  The sheet has detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheet  -- all in the one sheet. Nothing to remember, nothing to forget.  I’m not a regular Purex user (we’re fussy about laundry detergent) but this product is a huge headache-saver when we need to run to the Laundromat to do comforters, rugs etc.  I’m also thinking that for teens who are doing their own laundry (or newly minted dorm residents??) these could be a great thing.  (they’re also not bad for those of us who are just a tiny bit lazy about laundry every once in while --- )

I'm not a huge KMart gal, but for those of you who need cereal for the kiddos (you know who you are!!)  CommonSenseWithMoney has found this super deal on cereal and milk --- this is a no-brainer of a deal!!

Buy any 3-4 Kellogg’s cereals, get a coupon for 1 free gallon milk up to $4.19.
Buy any 5-6 Kellogg’s cereals, get two coupons for 1 free gallon milk up to $4.19 each.
Buy any 7 or more Kellogg’s cereals, get 3 Cats for 1 free gallon milk up to $4.19 each.

Kmart Deal

This is one of those things where you gotta wonder about the people making the big bucks at KMart's headquarters...... I understand when a company has an oops -- but when they repeat the same darn thing??!!??

Oh, well --- to our benefit then..... 

KMart is going to be running a deal (watch the flyers, I don't have dates yet) Buy a $50 gift card and get a $10 gift card free.  

Now that doesn't sound like such a great deal on the surface --- BUT....

At KMart you can use a gift card to buy a gift card ---- 

So ---- Lay out $50 and buy a $50 GC -- get a $10 GC free

Use the first $50 GC to purchase another $50 GC --- and get another $10 GC free 

Use that $50 GC to purchase another $50 GC -- and get another $10 GC free --- 

Okay if you stop right there (and I know you're not going to) you have spent $50 and you now have $80 --- Try that at the stock market.  

You can continue doing this until you get tired, the store runs out of gift cards or hell freezes -- which ever comes first.  

If you have a fairly large purchase you'd like to make at KMart -- this is a great way to work out a super cheap deal.  

Or --- you can hold onto the GCs until the next superdoubles deal at KMart and pay them with their own money..... tee hee.
