Staples: Week of 7/11

It is definitely time for the back to school cheapies and freebies.  Staples (as usual) has joined the fray.  Remember, they are picky about their limits --- but if you’re a teacher and you bring a pay stub or a school identification (something that proves you really are a teacher) they quickly grant you an exception.  Depending on your local Staples, the limit may become 25 or there may be no limit --- a few (very few) Staples will only double the stated limit for you.  Whatever they offer to do, smile and be sure to say thank you.
$.01 Deals (Only good Sunday thru Wednesday --- hurry!  And you must spend a total of $5 to get these deals – that shouldn’t be a problem)
Pencils (8 pack) Limit 2
2 pocket folder with fastners  limit 10
Ream of multipurpose paper (you pay $4.99 and get a rebate of $4.98) Limit 2
$1.00 Sale  ---- Limit is 2 on all of these
Bic Ballpoint pens 4 pack
Staples brand mini stapler
Pencil box
Staples brand highligters
5” scissors 2 pack
glue sticks (this isn’t such a swinging good price for these)
Novelty Post-it style notes
Colored pencils (not such a great price on these either)
Scotch tape
Dry Erase board (this one I want to look at --- depends on what it turns out to be)
Envelopes (you can do better at Walgreens if you have one)
Photo paper

Price Chopper: Week of 7/11

Price Chopper gets us started this week with some free cereal.  Nice deal!!

Free blueberries when you buy 2 Ocean Spray blueberry juices 2/$5
Use 2x $1/1 from 5/2 RP
Final Cost:   $3.00 for two juices and a container of blueberries

Walgreens: Week of 7/11

Use $1/2 from 5/16 SS
Final Cost:  FREE

Back to School Cheapies:
3 Subject Notebooks $.79
Expo Dry Erase Markers $1.99
Crayola Markers $.99 (I’ll be buying a ton of these – this is an awesome price especially if they include the skinny ones for first grade writing)
2 Pocket folders 8/$1
Mechanical Pencils $.39
Rulers $.29
Pencil Sharpeners $.29
Mini Highlighters  $.09
Crayons $.49 (don’t be tempted by this one – the last few years we’ve done much better on crayons than this!)
Legal pads $.29
Mead Envelopes $.69
Posterboard $.33
Most of these (if not all) require you to clip and use the coupon in the Walgreens ad.  Don’t forget to do that…. The register won’t prompt you and the cashier won’t remind you.  You’ll just pay a ridiculously higher price.

The rest of the deals:
Gillette Proglide razor $9.89 (do you have enough of these yet??)
Get $5 RR
Use $4/1 from 6/6 PG
Final Cost:  $.89

I noticed a couple of other possibilities in the Walgreens ad --- I’ll let you know.

Rite Aid: Week of 7/11

I’m back in the land of Price Chopper and Rite Aid for the summer.  And since I’ve had a couple of requests (you know who you are) and Rite Aid is being a little more cooperative lately, I’ll try keeping up with the Rite Aid deals for the summer.  We’ll see after that …..

Don’t forget, Rite Aid has a new wellness program with a card (similar to the CVS card)  Many of the sales and discounts won’t work without the card.  Get yours, organize yours and don’t forget to scan yours.  Also, they’re experimenting with UP Rewards (similar to the Register Rewards program at Walgreens).  Don’t lose them or throw them away.  They are what make the deals work.
Also, Rite Aid still has the long-standing SCR (Single Check Rebate) program.  File your receipts online as soon as you do the purchase (the sooner you file them, the sooner you’ll know if something didin’t work --- if you shop early in the week and file right away, there’s a chance you’ll have time to correct an error.
Rite Aid has a lovely little $5/$25 coupon that you can put to good use this week.  It’s the same coupon that has been floating around for several weeks now, so if you already printed and used, it – no go.  If you’re new to the game, go to RedPlum.com and see if you can find it (it doesn’t show up for me, cuz I’ve already done it – so I can’t give you the link)
Okay, commercial over.  Here’s what looks like potential deals at Rite Aid this week (not sure what I’ll actually do --- I’ll let you know)

Crest Extra White Plus Scope Outlast $2.69
Get $2.69 SCR (at the end of the month)
Use $.75/1 from 6/27 RP
Or use $.75/1 from 7/4 PG

Or you may find peelies for $1/1 right on the bos
Use the $2/1 coupon from the Rite Aid circular this week (cut it out and give it to the cashier)
Get a $1 UPReward back
Final Cost:  Profit (either way you do the deal)

I’ll be trying this deal with the Rolled Gauze (I need it for a project)
Buy 2 Rolled Gauze --- $7.18
Use 2x the $2/1 in ad coupon
Use the $3/2 printable coupon from here
Pay $.18
